Update for 2023
For the 2023 model year, Ram is introducing the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) limited-edition trim as part of its Built to Serve lineup. This special edition honors first-responder heroes with unique design cues and United States flag decals on the bedsides. Available in Hydro Blue or Bright White paint, the 1500 EMS features a blacked-out front fascia and grille, Technical Gray 20-inch aluminum wheels, and black exhaust tips. The interior even includes unique front-seat décor for deluxe travels wherever you go. The 1500 EMS comes standard with the 4x4 Off-Road Group equipment package, which includes tow hooks, underbody skid plates, and an electronic-locking rear differential.
Rugged Power & Capability
Under the hood, the Ram 1500 offers versatile and powerful performance with V-6 and V-8 gasoline powertrains paired with a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission. Both engines are supported by a 48-volt hybrid system, although the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 can be purchased without electric support. The Ram 1500 also includes the rugged Rebel model, which offers a beefier appearance and genuine off-road capability. With rear suspension that uses standard coil springs or optional air springs, the Ram 1500 offers an impressively smooth ride, and models equipped with air suspension even have an adjustable ride height.
Spacious Seating & Cargo
Inside, the Ram 1500 boasts ample passenger space and convenient cubby storage. Higher trims include upscale materials and creature comforts, making it feel more like a luxury vehicle than a pickup truck. The crew cab is spacious, and there is plenty of interior storage and a unique split-folding tailgate. The Ram 1500 is available in both five-foot-seven-inch and six-foot-four-inch cargo beds, but the extended cab body style is only available with the latter.
